This means along the direction of hair growth. It causes little to no irritation. So suitable for sensitive skin. As for me who is shaving every few days, I choose this shaving direction over the other as a manageable routine. I cannot afford to have it shaved smooth clean for a day and then followed by days of irritation.

Against the Grain

This means against the direction of hair growth. Closer shave but may increase the risk of ingrown hairs and razor burn. Only use with proper lubrication and a sharp blade.
